I find teaching to be one of the most rewarding aspects of the academic profession. I am dedicated to creating inclusive and dynamic classrooms in which students engage, think critically, and apply sociological concepts to current events and trends. I have completed trainings in curriculum design and inclusive pedagogy through the Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of Virginia. Additionally, I am currently undergoing training in interdisciplinary learning through the Center for Teaching Excellence at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.

As a graduate instructor at the University of Virginia, I have previously taught Introduction to Sociology, Globalization, Development, & the Environment, Gender & Sexualities, and Making Culture Visible. At the University of North Carolina Wilmington, I have taught Gender & Society, Gender & Sexualities (at the graduate level), Globalization, Individuals & Societies in a Global World, Introduction to Sociology, and Medical Sociology.
